It was in 1997 that he bought Mission West Properties Real Estate Investment Trust. He eventually sold it to realty developer Divco West five years later, netting $1.3 billion in the process. Furthermore, he is one of the principals of Berg & Berg Enterprises, LLC, as well as a major investor and board member of Valence Technologies and Summit Semiconductor.
