Ella Mai released her self-titled debut studio album in 2018 which reached #1 on the US R&B chart as well as #4 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart and #5 on the Billboard 200. Her single “Boo’d Up” reached #1 on the US R&B, US R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and US Adult R&B charts and her single “Trip” reached #1 on the US R&B and US R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. In 2018 she won three Soul Train Music Awards.
