Jonathan Gray was part of Fortune’s 40 under 40 in 2009. He helped establish Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies in 2008 which launched Blackstone Mortgage Trust in 2013. Gray is also a philanthropist and serves on the board of The Trinity School as well as being Chairman of the Board of Harlem Village Academies. He donated $10 million to purchase a Manhattan building for the organization. Jonathan married Mindy Basser in 1995. The couple founded the Basser oResearch Center in 2012 and donated $25 million to create the Center which focuses on cancer research.
