Since 2012 she has been the executive producer, storyboard artist, storyline writer, and songwriter for the series Steven Universe. Sugar has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards for Steven Universe and two more for Adventure Time with Finn & Jake. She has been romantically linked to Ian Jones-Quartey.
