Goldman has been described as “one of the late twentieth century’s most popular storytellers”. He has won Academy Awards for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in 1970 and All the President’s Men in 1977. Goldman won a Laurel Award for Screen Writing Achievement in 1985 from the Writers Guild of America. William Goldman died on November 16, 2018 at the age of 87.
